Peter and Richard decided in July 2016 that it was time to quit the corporate world and life of skydiving and bungee jumping to settle down. They got married and had the best wedding ever! Was that Cher?
They spent the next few months travelling. Soon after touring India together these two were inspired to open a bed and breakfast that was a reflection of who they were and where they have been throughout their journeys.
In mid-2017 they sold their condo in Toronto and moved to Saint John, New Brunswick where they purchased 209 Queen Street a Queen Anne style home c.1900 said to have been built straight from plans right out of the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Catalogue. They knew instantly that this was the place they wanted to share with the world. That is when Keirstead Manor was born.
Peter’s culinary abilities and eye for style mixed with Richard’s passion for the arts and sciences make for a perfect blend that emphasises old world charm and worldly sophisticated style! Their influences can be seen throughout Keirstead Manor with the many unique artifacts and furniture they have collected on their journey.
